Traveling home (F* Polish infrastructure)

On Friday 31st August I got up at 3:20am to get ready and walk to the railway station. Why? Because all of the trams and buses had the special schedule this day (how obvious in Krakow) :)
So, I was walking with my have bags and reach the train station, waited for my train. It was 20 minutes delayed at departure even it started there! Well, yes, I missed the next train from Katowice and the next one to Český Těšín was 16:30 which is not fine at 7:20 in the morning. The worst thing was that I could catch it because it was waiting but nobody was able to tell me where it is. I was desperately running around the station and looking for it. (They don't use the boards system or if the use it, it is already late!)
Next 30 minutes I was looking for someone to help me. Asking if they speak English is the same thing like to ask the penguins in Antarctica. Finally I found the train going at least the same direction to Bielsko-Biała. When I arrived there I found out that the next train is again 14:12 so I decided to look for the bus. I had just few minutes and a piece of luck that I caught a bus at 9:50am. (The only unlucky thing was that I left my cover and pillow for 1000 CZK in the train - they were good! :( - bye-bye my stuff.)
The bus as it was unlucky day went much longer way because of reconstructions and was delayed again. Anyway I arrived to Cieszyn and then walked to Český Těšín (with my heavy bags again). I was so proud crossing the boarder to the Czech side!!! I run to the railway station to get the first train out of here :) - Believe me, Czech railways are still f*****g good!
Then I just changed trains in Ostrava-Svinov, Přerov and Břeclav to arrive to Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou at 15:55 and met my family who took me home (sweet home - HEVLÍN).
Overall journey was more than 12 hours and much more expensive than the way to Poland (6 hours).
Keep using ČD!!! ;)

Mleczne bułeczki & Sapporo beer

These, ladies and gentleman are mleczne bułeczki! One of the best things in Poland for me :)) I ate them very often. They keep being fresh long time and are tasty - a bit sweet and milky :)

As I wrote to some of my friends I usualy drank Tyskie beer or Zywiec but I as Czech person must admit that even Japanese could produce a good beer! This one I got as present from my HR manager (It is quite known brand - Sapporo).

Hello all dear readers,

I proudly announce that yesterday I passed my exams and joined the lines of bachelors at our University! Thanks to all who supported me on the 5 years journey through the valley of educational dangers :) - If we say that human potential is great, I must add that human stupidity is unlimited ;)

And finally I could give you back all of the books and notes. Yes, maybe are yours ;)

Things are happening...

One of the crazy nights were there huge storm in Krakow. The wind was so strong that it broke many trees and destroyed many things in the city. The next day all the lines, trams and buses, had changed schedules (no schedules) and went different streets that nobody understood what is going on. This was the only day I was officially late at work in the morning :)

Because the week was crazy they started build a fence around the block of flats where I lived. And they cut our shortcut so we had to go around a bit :( - I would say "just in Poland" :) The picture shows the late afternoon when I came there and realized that I cannot go through anymore.

Petulka in Krakow

This weekend was my lovely girlfriend Petula visiting me in Krakow. For that trip we chose to go for "Wieliczka Salt Mine" tour.
So, first we went to the salt mine which was very nice 2 hours experience in the deep. We were told all the stories and technologies what were used to get salt from the mine for 700 years but this I am not going to tell :)
We visited all chambers for turists and see all the restaurants, halls for wedings, chapels, long staires and also modern elevators :)
Later on Saturday we went for a short walk through the centre of Krakow, the park, Wawel castle and also restaurant Jarema which I fully recommend if you are here for a visit! Amazing food, life music and romantic atmosphere... Great relaxing dinner! So, that was amazing but very short weekend ;)

Kopec Kosciuszki trip

This time we went for the trip to the hill of Kosciuszki. The strange thing about this hill is that it was built by men. Kosciuszko was a great soldier and leader. For such people they build not statues but the whole hills :) Such hills there are about 4 in Krakow for different people but mostly for commanders, leaders or soldiers.
From this one is very nice view on the centre and it is worth to visit... That trip continued by walk through the wood and finished by beer at nice restaurant with view on the river Wisła. Friesbee at the end could not miss ;)

Today the IT admin of the company just came to our office and provided us the new version of MS Office... So, I got rid of the f.c.i.g (not very nice) MS Office 97 and get the super new MS Office 2007 Enterprise edition with the complete package of programs and everything in ENGLISH - wow!!! So, I really felt like I had a birthday!
The programs have new outlook and style of work is a bit different and I am still learning to use it but it is great! I fully recommend to at least try some version of it! ;)
